Your letter searches
The letters you submit are sent to our server to find dictionary matches. This application does not create user profiles or store a search history. Hosting services may keep ordinary access and security logs, which can include the request URL and IP address.
Cookies and tracking
This version does not add advertising cookies. Anonymous statistics use no analytics cookie. In every region, a random first-party browser-counting cookie is used for up to 30 days unless you turn statistics off below. Optional first-party statistics record page names, the broad referral channel, country, device category, and whether a puzzle action succeeded or failed. We do not store your submitted letters, answer words, raw referrer URL, query strings, IP address, or full user-agent in the analytics database. Hosting security logs are separate.
Your analytics choice
Site statistics are being checked. Your puzzle tools work either way.
We do not use fingerprints, account identifiers, or advertising profiles. In every region, basic site statistics use a random first-party browser cookie for up to 30 days unless you turn statistics off. A random identifier in this tab’s memory connects page views with completed actions during this visit. The tab identifier does not recognize later visits; the separate browser cookie allows browser counts across visits.
The separate optional browser-statistics cookie is enabled only when you choose to allow it here. We also respect Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. Your choice lasts in this tab until a full reload; there is no consent popup.
If you choose browser statistics below, one random, first-party cookie recognizes this browser for up to 30 days and connects page views and button clicks. It is not linked across products or used for advertising. You can remove it here. No fingerprint is collected.
Storage and purpose
Usage records are stored for up to 90 days in our existing Neon database, with country-level location provided by Vercel. They are used only to improve this site and are not sold, shared with advertising services, or linked across products. The private owner report shows aggregates. Anonymous visits do not measure distinct people or cross-day returning users.
Payments
This version is free and has no checkout, subscriptions, advertising, or donations. No payment information is collected.
Published puzzle records
The service stores dated puzzle content, answer lists, and their sources so that available previous results remain accessible. These are puzzle records, not personal search histories.
